Is Samsung S10 5G is compatible...??
Samsung's first 5G smartphone in the Galaxy S10 series was to be launched and that's it. People who don't follow Tech News permanently may be surprised: is the Galaxy S105G compatible? Let us finish it for you.
Yes, the Galaxy S10 is 5G compliant, but there is a catch. If you want 5G support, you need to buy a new flagship model. Don't think you can go on a 5G network with the Galaxy S10e, just as amazing as a handset.
5G is compatible...:
Samsung usually releases two models of flagship Galaxy S devices every year. This year it changed things a bit by launching three models - the Galaxy S10e, the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 +. If you've purchased any of these models and now you're wondering if your phone can run on 5G networks, this may not be the case.
There is actually a fourth model in this lineup called the Galaxy S105G. You do not advertise alongside the main lineup as its availability will be substantially limited. Notice how this is not branded as a repetition of the Galaxy S10 +. As we wrote in the advance of our Galaxy S10 5G, this is a bigger and better version of Samsung's advanced flagship.
It may look like the Galaxy S10 +, but there are some major differences. The Galaxy S10 5G gets a 6.7-inch large display, a quad camera system in the back and a 4,500mAh large battery. The 5G modem obviously has high power. So unless you find this specific model (SM-G977x), don't expect to get the benefits of 5G in any other Galaxy S10 variant.
When can I find one...?
Availability of the Galaxy S105G will be very limited this year. It clearly doesn't make sense that Samsung launched it in markets where carriers have not found a commercial mobile 5G network and are running. South Korea and the United States will be the first markets to receive this device. Pricing and availability information has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to be priced higher than Galaxy 999 which you pay for the Galaxy S10 +.
Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy S105G will initially be a Verizon exclusive in the United States. The country's largest carrier will launch its mobile 5G network in select cities on April 11, 2019. Expect the Galaxy S10 5G to be available shortly after that. Samsung's carrier partners in South Korea are also set to launch this variable between tests to accelerate to 2.7 Gbps on the Galaxy S10 5G. They were expected to release it by the end of this month, but government-issued consultations on planning prices could postpone the launch.
The Galaxy S10 will also be powered by 5G compatible countries in the summer. The markets that have been confirmed so far include Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Samsung is working closely with major careers in all of these countries for this purpose.
